Is there a laundry room? If so, you have both water and power. Also, ask if you can access the boiler room. You might get lucky there.

I have some 5 gal buckets
Outside hose spigot your best bet.

What about the 2 circuits?

Get an Orbiter yet?
i did get the oriter, that's the best thing I did, really gave me that extra punch. I'm hoping I have an outlet. I only use the 5star and no heater, so just the one circuit. Some times I find myself waiting to plug in after the vacuuming as I hate popping fuses. I'm going to bring some 5gal water bottles. But I will look for a hose. It's a nice customer and I want to keep these people happy.

Very likely just the lower levels are bad enough to benefit from extraction.

Can you get away with padcapping the uppers with the Orbiter and absorbent combo pads and some good encap juice??

You might be pleasantly surprised with what that lil thing can do.

I never tried encap, but I like the fact carpets are forgiving. Guess I'm old school, even thou I'm relatively new to the game. I booked it for tomorrow, so we see. It's really not to far from me so if I get electric I can always refill and return, the nice thing is the seem to pay for the extra headache

check if they have a amenity room, where the strata council meets or a party room, most have a sink and toilet, otherwise, like Willy says, check the boiler room. You can hook up a hose to the bottom or any hot water or storage tanks. Make sure you flush first. You will get a lot of sediment at first. We flush our storage tank quarterly, all we do is hook up a short garden hose to the drain and let her rip. Lots of hot water.

I buy most of my solutions/chemicals in 20 litre drums = 5.283441047163 US Gallons.
When I do shops in shopping malls, I fill up a couple of these at home, take them with me & fill the machine when I get it out of my van.

I usually only need the one, because I encap commercial carpets.

Although I have spigots, (drum taps/faucets), I prefer to simply use the wider opening, it empties faster.
If need be, take a couple of MT's in with you to empty waste water into.

Bring as much elec cord length as you have incase you have to run it far to another adjacent set of units or a outside outlet somewhere.

Good luck

There is a hose bib nearby, run your water and use a portable heater to warm it up. Alternatively, do the carpet cold; it will still clean. Take your sweet time and lots of dry strokes.

Yes. I know most are off for the winter, but this is the things I need to do and get better at as I grow, I feel like I got an April fools joke when they told me the cone back after the halls get painted.

think I'm going to need the tester that shows if I'm on the same circuit. Not sure what it's called. But I hate wondering if I'm going to blow a fuse, I find I'm holding of till my helper is done with the vacuum, is work in progress here

It is a simple device that you plug your cord into, then you go shoving it hopefully into outlets that might be on a different breaker. It will save your bacon.

I'd bet one of the vendors here could hook you up today.

On the whole painters thing, don't be shy about asking qualifying questions. "Are all the other contractors out?" "Do you need this done in stages?" "How soon after completion should I expect payment?"
And so on. Such questions are NOT rude, they won't jeopardize your chances. Good luck!

Called a Breaker Buddy. Usually under a hundred bucks. Plugs into an extension cord then into whatever sockets you want to test. Green light comes on to indicate separate circuits. I bring this with me when I do estimates for portable work in high rise hallways. Lets me know what machine I can use and I can vary my price accordingly.

Sometimes you can gain an additional clue as to the wiring if you plug into 2 outlets and then turn one vac on/off and then the other while looking at the lighting fixture to note a flicker on vac startup, assuming the bulbs is incandescent.

If the bulb flickers, it is a good indicator that the light may be on the same circuit as whichever plug you fired.

The same flicker from both outlets is not what you want to see.

Pretty reliable on all but very old wiring.

If your in a jam and not sure and without many other options, fire everything up for a few minutes and let it run to see if it blows before you do anything to commit further like laying down your prespray an starting to wand.......better to now early on if there is going to be an issue.

OG broke-d*ck hacking skilzz.
