It's about time I got 1 of my hose reels powered. My best friend finally had time to weld up the bracket to my hose reel to mount my motor and tension plate. I could have just screwed the bracket on, but I rather have something more solid.

Got the parts from http://www.hannay.com/store/10Browse.asp with the help of Keith aka Able1 on the boards. Now I just need to get it mounted in the van. I also want a foot switch instead of a push button so 2 hands can be used as I run 2.5" hose.

I can post a parts list if anyone wants. The total was close to $500 with shipping I believe.

I bought something like this off Ebay a few years ago. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hannay-Hose...9541086&pid=100033&rk=1&rkt=4&sd=261819237372 I took everything off that makes it motorized ( motor & bracket, sprockets & chain, relay) and adapted them to my solution hose reel. The only thing I had to by new was a breaker and switch. I can put the reel in a tight spot where I wouldn't be able to manually turn it and the larger diameter of the reel makes for less coiling when using Parker hose. I turned around and sold the rest of the old Hannay reel on Ebay for $75.
