Hey,

I'm ready to upgrade to 2.5" hoses but my pre-filter box only has 2" outlets. Anyone know where i can get a beeffed-up prefilter box?

I agree with Ron. You can probably modify your existing box for MUCH less than buying a new one. Call Greenie and see if he has a manifold upgrade for that model.

I was a big fan of the y until I got a true 2.5" upgrade. To me it is worth the modest amount of extra effort to get the 2.5" port.

The way I see it you can plug those ports you have there and mount a greenie 2.5 dual manifold on the lid of the filter box or a single. If you want you can put a 2" to 2.5 y with some short hoses.

Yes Greenie, that is exactly what I had in mind! Dang, is there anything you haven't thought of?

Thanks floorguy.

btw: for anyone looking for a good stand alone high flow filterbox, I have a customer selling his 2.5" Butler box with custom high capacity catch basket, it's pretty sweet for you high flow guys, has a 3" feed to waste tank and a 2.5" hook up for wand as well as 2" second port.
