Pricing by Zip Code

Does anyone charge different prices for the same service in different zip codes? Here in Fairfield County Ct there are many affluent areas as well as blue collar areas. I am surprised at the number of Obama signs in front of homes or estates whose owners are clearly earning well over 250k. I wonder how they would react if service companies charged them more money for carpet or upholstery cleaning so we could charge less in blue collar areas?

I could see why some people would charge more or accordenly by zip code. The further you go from your shop will cost you more. As for me, I charge in my zipe code area .48/ per sqft. to clean traffic areas in a residence. If I cleaned in the west of the ashley area of charleston. I would have to charge .58/ per square feet to cover my cost. I have cleaned in fourt-seven zip codes codes in my area. That's a radius of aprox. 45 miles, or aprox. 1.5 hours round drip travel time.
