OK...ya'll talk about how trouble free the direct drive TM is..
but what about the vans??
are there more repairs on the van it's self compared to running slide-ins??
cooked wiring under the hood
water pumps
Tranny
do they have a higher rate of failure in DD's compared to slide ins??
I've been running slide-in for 25 years.
never blew a tranny, never replaced a water pump , never had a wiring/computer failure.
and only one of the half dozen vans I've owned were new
..L.T.A.
That's why
Butler does to much R&D on their units....
To avoid those kinds of problems...
I just keep finding out how much R&D they do....and get a new surprise it seems every time I talk to them....
We have had units with thousands of
Butler hours (and those extra run time miles) as well as the hundreds of thousand road miles on the vans...
One
Butler and GMC still going has 250,000 road miles and over 11,000 hours equivalent to about 613,000 miles on the original motor and drive trane.
My brother Kirk, just sold a 2000 GMC and
Butler (for $8000 yet) that had 200,000 road miles and 8000 hours on the
Butler...equivalent to 464,000 miles on that motor...
Still not taking any oil, think maybe a water pump replaced in that unit once, but not sure....
Any issues I have had with my current newer van have all been Factory recalls (that they finally let us know about being covered)
So....I keep finding out what (and why)
Butler does to get max durability out of their units AND VANS!
