problem with hydro sprayer

One of the hydroforce sprayers chose to start acting weird today and I'm not yet sure what its deal is. The one I'm working on is the dial-a-mix sprayer. I noticed the jug was full after prespraying a home. When hooked to the pressure line and pulling the trigger it draws from the jug but when the trigger is not engaged water actually fills the jug. Having a seemingly bottomless protector sprayer is quite cool, I would prefer it work as it should. Any ideas as to what went wrong?

sounds like a simple rebuild should fix that. The spring is probably worn out and not holding the ball in place like it should.

I have had that happen and I agree, do a simple rebuild. Get a new filter too and see if the jet is still good too.

Sometimes just a little trash in it holds the check ball up off its seat.
