Prochem Water Softener

I have the Prochem ez Charge water Sofener and every time I charege it I have problems, the aspirator cligs, the brase quick connects clog and get green oxidation allove rthem relaly fast. I suspect that brass, or any metal, is not the way to go for the plumbing. However, I used to have the Hydroforce oen with the tiner and it didn't last long before needing a rebuild, so I was recommded by my distributor to try this one.
Anyone else have similar challenges?
