So what are Curing Times as apposed to drying. I know Kleenrites Fabric Solvent protector said 24-72 Hours for a full curing. On upholstery thats OK but telling your customer to wait that long for Carpet Protector I don't know. I don't have a Fresh Jug of any protector, so what says the product being tested as far as Curing time??? Brian as far as the more you put on the longer it takes I agree. BUT isn't there a proper amount to apply and any other amount is either a rip off or over kill and not useful ?

Ron;

"Drying time" and "curing time" are two different properties . . .

The Dynachem Ultraseal solvent protector has a drying time of two hours before allowing traffic . . .

The curing time is ~12 hours before maximum water, oil, and dry soil repellency is obtained . . .

Larry I know that.

But isn't the whole purpose of using a protector and having it work to it's designed optimum performance, letting it Cure all the way.

So the drying time, in effect, is the curing time.

12 hours though is still alot better then 72

Hey,

Guys I am looking for professional carpet cleaner for my office, because it will become too old. So I want to clean it. So is there anyone who suggest me some good carpet cleaning services at an affordable price?

Thanks in advance!

I like alcohol as a carrier better than OMS.

OMS penetrates very well but maybe because it does so, it seems like it takes forever to cure.

The solvent we use in Ultraseal solvent-based drys more than twice as fast as OMS.

That, less odor, and less toxicity is why we use it.

[This solvent is generally recognized to have low acute and chronic toxicity

This solvent is not regarded as a mutagen or carcinogen, and there is low concern for reproductive, developmental, or nervous system toxic effects.]

P.S. the assistance in drying is due to displacement of water from the fiber

I used Mr. Cobb's Ultraseal on a job today for the first time. All new furniture in a new condo.
Did some of it with the product I was using and some of it with the ultra seal. I noticed the faster drying with the ultraseal. I like that.
The smell isn't wonderful but seemed to go away pretty quickly.
Overall...pleased with the Cobbs.
