Propane Powered Portable (truckmount style) ?

Does anyone remember the "portable" propane powered truckmount style machine that was out a few years back (Hydramaster I think)? It was mounted on a small cart. Just wondering what the model name was and if there are any still around. I do a few highrise buildings and this might be a much better and faster solution than using a porty and lots of help. I use a great heated machine now but if there is a larger machine as that propane powered still available I would like to check into it.

They built a portable version of the Boxxer 421 with propane fueled motor. It was green and had the tanks under and behind the unit for solution and waste.

This seems like a good option but electricity if the issue as well as power. In one highrise we clean a few times a year the breakers throw very easily and we have to take a secured elevator to the main floor, wait for the roving security guard to come down and escort us back up to the floor we are working on, just to reset the breaker. (They can't leave the elec. room open because of alarms on the doors.)

I actually looked at a Bane porty a few weeks back thinking bigger capacity and better suction with their #3 blower. It has no auto shut-off for the waste tank, no fill ports, a modified heater coil inside the fresh water tank, only does 170 PSI (non-adjustable), and still takes 2 power cords which is one of the basic issues. To beat it all, $7.495.00!!! HELL TO THE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I fell off the truck but not yesterday!

DO a search on craigs list, I saw a couple for sale awhile back. was tempted to get one for $3000 , it only had 150 hours on it. The other one had very low hours too. Search "hydramaster cm 302" Then try cm 402, use craigslist crawler or similar

Those were badass back in the day. They had lights that told you when it was safe to flip the "on" switch so you didn't pop a breaker.

Thanks for the info. but electricity draw is the main problem. We use plugs on opposite sides of the floor and still throw some breakers with nothing more than a buffer on it.

I saw one when I visited their office a couple years back but then again it is electric. It would be absolutely perfect for my use if I could get the power. It gives great power (suction and PSI).

My pops friend Al Casas had a CM402... My pops also looked into buying one but went with the workmasters... Al said he had a lot of problems with the propane motor. So he just put an electric motor on it and made it a shop TM...

Thats good to know. Maintenance is a huge issue, especially for a machine that they dont make anymore.
