Hyphens tell search engines where the word starts and ends....so yes they are a good idea.

I use them in all my Network pages

It's not huge...but it's something.

Example

Carpet Cleaning Bend OR

Just look at the URL when you visit the page.

BUT....Keep in mind. I believe that domain names need to be produced for customer recognition more than search engine recognition.


So www.My-Carpet-Cleaning-Website.com

Would not be as user friendly as

www.MyCarpetCleaningWebsite.com

I use the Hyphens when building pages off the main site....but the main domain name is

www.NetworkHomeServices.com

Because THAT'S what people will remember

How about .net, .org, .info extensions when .com is already taken?

It's been said that you get a little more credit for .com

I like .com because I think it's more professional
