I just published my new re-vamped website. Take a look and tell me what you think. I still have some work to do. I need to add pages for wood floor and leather cleaning and do some work on the copy but it's pretty much ready. I think.

Let me know what you think, be honest. ;)

I agree with you guys my logo is small and I'm pretty proud of it so I'd like it to be bigger.

My understanding is he made it that small to make it look right on mobile but I don't really understand jow all that works.

Mobile definitely gets priority as I see a huge percentage of visitors are on mobile but I'm going to tweak it and see what I can do to make it bigger on desktop.

I appreciate the feedback.

it can be made bigger on desktop via css media queries...........

but the bigger logo would push content down if the other layout elements are maintained.......it could be overlayed however keeping everything else the same....may need a couple pixels of white outline to standout on the blue below

not the correct css in the inspector...just to show what I mean

Has Carl's Jr called with a cease and desist?

You got me. Completely copied.

One we don't have Carls jr here we have hardee's. Two the stars actually don't look anything alike other than they are both stars and Carl's Jr/Hardees doesn't own all stars.

My star doesn't look asian. ;)

The white space here is just a personal pet peeve of mine. It would be a good place to put a couple of testimonials/reviews with a link to your testimonials page to read more. It would also tie in all of the nice highlights you noted before. Otherwise they will have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to find the link and most people probably won't scroll that far. I would maybe swap the video to be on the right side so that it is a little bigger and a few short testimonials with a link in the smaller column on the left.

Yeah, that's my fault. I put that video there. I didn't know where else to put it. Good idea on moving the testimonials up there. B

y the way, are you familiar with Kudobuzz? I had the guy who designed my site add it but it said it really bogged things down so he took it off. He said he'd look into it a little and try to add it later but just wondering if you've heard of any issues with it?

Really like your Facebook page. All the same elements are there too. I would also want the phone number at the top to be larger or more obvious... like that it's there on every page. Carpet Cleaning Panama City looks to be a graphic instead of plain text. Google can't read an image of a word... needs to be written. Not sure if all the text on the page is written as a background image? Or maybe because I'm looking at it with a Safari Browser. Important that content be searchable...as I'm sure you know. Page titles seem good.

I have a few clients using Kudobuzz and it doesn't bog down. Were you guys using the dedicated schema mark up page? Although it is nice to have schema, the way they do it makes it difficult to really integrate because your navigation doesn't appear on the dedicated page.

Just curious, are you using a caching plugin?

As far as the "Google can't read text on images" - if you play around with reverse image search, you'll find that they're working on it. It isn't perfect but it is there.

I have no idea what a schema even is...and no idea on a caching plug in.

I think it may have bogged down because he didn't have my logins to the review sites so it was trying to upload them and bouncing back. Just my uneducated guess though. I'll ask him about those things. I definitely like the idea of kudobuzz so I'm going to try it again.

It does take some time to gather the reviews when it initially is grabbing all of the reviews. Give it about 24 hours and it should be good to go.

Caching plugin makes your site load faster. If you'd like I'd be happy to install one and configure it for you. It will help to speed up your site a bit. It isn't always noticeable to us but when you site speed test you can see the difference.

Schema markup is code that doesn't get seen by the user but Google and other bots can see it. Schema mark ups on reviews may display reviews or review ratings right in the search results. It may increase your clicks and give people incentive to want to visit your site.
