i have had the vacuum electric reel for years,, now its time for an electric solution hose reel,,, what do you guys use, coxreels, hannay reel or make your own.. i currently use coxreel manual. pics will be great
I didn't have room for the width of a Cox or Hanny so I made my own.
Cut the handle off a standard solution hose reel.
Made a proper size metal disc and welded to the reel spokes.
Bought a relay/solenoid and chain from local farm store.
Took the sprocket, motor with mounting bracket off a used Hanny reel and assembled them on my reel.
Winding the solution hose up by hand never was an issue for me. With the set up I have there just wasn't room for the handle and my hand to do it manually. I always carry the solution hose end back to the truck, not a problem with it getting intertwined in the vac hose.
