I just did a recoat on our floors at the house.Pretty easy
used a square scrub with a marron pad and put 2 coats of streetshoe on them.
Come out really good.
now my floors looked pretty decent but a lot of scratches but when i did them with the square scrub
really looked like a sand job i guess it would be considered a screen and recoat?
Is any body doin this and what the charges for this service.
Our area guys are doin oil based finishes for .80 i can not see it
maybe 175 to 2.00 sq ft
the oil poly 30 a gallon and water based close to a 100 a gallon
I have never pushed this service but i think i am join too in the future
ANy body on the board doin very much of this?

I've got a square scrub but have never used it on wood.

I do have a wood floor coming up next month.

If I use the maroon pad I'm afraid it will remove all the Walnut finish.

Will Streetshoe restore the walnut stain once applied?

George call your basic coatings rep and ask him
I would think you could use it with me problem
As long as it is not worn down to the bare wood

We jut bought a square scrub machine for tile work but would like to use on wood. What pads are you using to scrub and recoat? What about just scrub for cleaning? Seems like the maroon pads would take all the urethane off or would it?

Yes,
Randy sent me a few pics of the job he did @ his home, looked great but it'll deff remove the finish with that pad. The end result looked like new.

My only concern with the cimex is that since it'll be counter rotating on the pad drivers I'd be afraid of possibly chipping the side of planks. On the drum sander the guys will always go within the grain, you can't really do that with Mex since even tho you try to go within the grain the drivers are spinning in different directions. The Square Scrub guys says you can go in any direction, doesn't have to be within the grain (but it's recommended, esp on the older floors).

ahh but how many go on the floor with simply a 175???

the cimex leaves no scratch pattern.....now as far as hitting planks.....then they got a bigger problem that i cant fix
