Refresh my memory; is it safe to use reducers on wool? I have a customer with a large red food coloring stain on an inexpensive light colored 5 X 8 Wool rug.

Mike;

Mild Reducing agents are used on wool carpets.

We do use our Dynachem Dye Stain Remover on wool rugs for red removal.

I think mild reducers are cool its the oxidizers that are the no no.

I'll take it slow and see what happens. I cannot order anything special for a cheep tufted rug. I would throw it out if it was mine. It's cheap latex /rubber backing left a non removable yellow stain on the nylon carpet where it was placed. I am seeing more and more horribly cheap Pier-One type rugs.

rugs have been getting on my nerves lately. I might start turning down the wool ones with urine issues because its just more of a pain than what its worth

Its a pain because you don't know how to clean them correctly and can't distinquish the problem urine rugs from the less problematic ones.

I rarely have to use more than 2 products on a urine contaminated rug, the real trick is letting the products do there job and time is huge.
