Spray those suckers with Red Vanish while the carpet is still dry. I'm amazed at how many go away just by doing that.

Someone posted here what they did.
I forget who it was and all the details, but they used a heavy cast iron skillet for an iron.
I can't recall what they used as a heat source.
a propane touch maybe?

it was pretty clever ad hoc solution and sho'nuff would work

I specialize in vacants and was looking to get a lil Honda generator. What I realized was the prop mans who were too cheap to turn on power never ended up being a customer I wanted to work for.
You will have pretty good success spraying it down the day before you clean.

I always pretreat a red area with Red Vanish before I put down my prespray. Then, when the prespray hits it, the ph seems to accelerate the chemical. Most of the time, I dont even need heat now. I have definitely noticed a difference when I forget and put prespray down first. I think it was Jeff Cross that taught that trick in the Advanced Stain and Spot Removal Class. It definitely works.

I have had very little success with reducers. I would hit that spot with peroxide and ammonia.

The trick is how to recognize the stain to determine if its a natural or synthetic dye.

Then use either the reducer or peroxide.

Thanks for the red vanish suggestion. I've been sick of the two part stuff for a while. The sprayers keep going bad, I always run out of one side before the other and it is very hit and miss with what it works on. Do you find that Red Vanish works just as well with natural vs synthetic stains?

Vacaways RED VANISH

Spray it, cover with plastic wrap and leave.

It will be gone in a few hours.

My customers have been ecstatic about it.

Jamie;

I have tested many, many brands of Red Stain Removers.

I have heard lots of discussion on results WITH & WITHOUT steam.

What I have observed:

IF the carpet has a quality stain-resist coating intact,
the stain can be removed without heat transfer.

IF it is apartment-grade carpet or does not have an effective stain-resist coating,

it will require "steam" to take out the stain.

Our one-part Dynachem Dye Stain Remover works in the same manner:

That's fine but with no power what do you do? can you install a A/C power outlet on your Truckmount?

You would think that ALL Tm's would have a A/C power outlet on them standard. Why not?

Buy an El Diablo built in generator - just run an extension cord and you are good to go. I'm gonna try the Red Vanish - sounds like a good product that I had never heard of.

Cool, I've been thinking my next truckmount might be a El Diablo. I was looking at one at Nu-Tech how long have you had it? Any problems? I like the fact that you can run diesel instead of fuel-oil in the burner.

I thought they were essentially the same??
( minus some engine additives and road tax on diesel fuel at the pump)

and burn K-1 kero anyway.
Much cleaner and no diesel stink

Diesel is a lot cheaper here in Michigan plus, With the new "Clean Diesel" it's not like it used to be. I do use K-1 in my Steamway though I don't think I can use diesel in it.
