replacement motor for 2003 boxxer421 ?

My boxer will not stop leaking from the rear seal
I am looking to replace the motor
Anyone have any experience in replacing the motor on a 2003 Boxxer 421
I know the original motor cannot be purchased today
Is there a Honda unit that works ?

We replace them with 23 hp vanguard motors as it give is a bit more bite, but mounting holes need to be redone.

Have you already replaced the seal and it still leaks?

You can replace the seal and it will last 100-1000 but it will ride out again.

If you want closer to 1000 hours( of course only if the motor is low hour) coat the lip seal with a bit of rtv silicone, seat it and let it set up for a few hours.

Problem could be with the crankcase breather valve also
