How long did it take to clean that with pads and how many pads did you use?
Probably 2,000 sqft of carpet (and yes, I had a few tables to move.) By myself it took 4 hours, with help and two machines it was about 2 1/2 - 3 hours. When I used the truckmount, it took longer because of the nature of the dirt, it always looked streaky. I ended up coming back the next evening because they complained and did a speed OP to correct the unevenness.
My average load of pads was 18, and I always used them all. On the first run I only brought 12 and had to hand wash and wring dirty pads out to get through the job. It was my first job with OP. My wife looked at me and said, "That's not going to work!" I started on the blackest area, slowly sprayed and advanced two feet and stopped to look. I was astonished at what it would get. As I moved along, I found that the caked-on grease repelled the cleaning solution and started pre-spraying ahead to break it down so I would not have to make several passes each time. I went about 10 feet before the pad became so impregnated that it was not picking up anymore dirt/grease.
I do not have or seek restaurants anymore. They always want it cheap and never have you back until the carpet is far gone before they called you. I was just fascinated how the pad system overperformed my expectations.
