I don't understand what the hydraulic fluid is for. Is is a type of lubrication for the water pump and blower?

The motor in the truck powers a hydraulic pump (PTO). The hydraulic fluid then powers the blower and the water pump.

I would bet they are working on a Hydraulic carpet machine too, with the elimination of vans to use the mechanical systems.

As far as I know there are very few industries that use the mechanical PTO system the carpet cleaning industry has used. Most use hydraulics.

Lee, what Hydraulic systems were you working on?

I sure would not want to hit my head on one of those ladder racks. My head hurts just looking at it.

So the process cleans the rubber roofs that are on a lot of commercial buildings and then coats them? I spent a ton of money 10 years ago on the 7000 foot rubber roof on my building. It came with a 10 year warranty----uggg---it is up this year.

Carpet cleaning no longer the center of the Universe. It's good to look over the fence to see what's new in fields other than our own. That's why I always liked the Pumper & Cleaner show. Bigger trucks, pumps, reels, vacuums. Along with ideas and suppliers of neat things.

It will benefit us still.
