Art, do you use the standard head?

I think I want the quad head but $500 seems steep.

You can use the 12" head for stairs.. You'll need to still use the vacuum cuff on the bullnose as some stairs are shorter than others...

But if you got a CRB to scrub stairs, then the wand would do well to flush...

Problem is, if your using the rv360i in the house, you can just shorten the handle and hit the stairs...

They don't come installed anymore, not sure about when you got yours. I find it hard to believe it didn't have a disc and didn't flush well enough. I don't have any tools that put out that much water. Maybe it's your pump. I was shocked at the difference from an old worn out pump to my new one. It slowly pumped less and I just didn't realize it. It's like night and day. At 1100 psi my old pump would drop to 700. The new one drops 100. My turbo spins so much faster now it's like buying a brand new tool.

I could care less about cleaning stairs with a rotary, just as I do not clean stairs with my regular wand. Too cumbersome and does not make sense to me, unless we're talking very wide stairs.

That's why we have specialized tools.

In the light contest, it is definitely a no contest. The 360i wins hands down. My issue with it is (when I tried it, given I think it was the 3 jets one) I did not like the movement. In addition, some here say that they open it up every few jobs and wet the felt. Knowing me, I will not do it. Part of the reason why I switched from a CDS to the pro-1200. The Pro-1200 has a good size blower, so maybe with more suction it will clean with more authority. (or maybe it will bog down.)

I loved the way the Hoss-700 moved. Seems close to maintenance free. And seems to be built like a tank and I am a sucker for well built tools. Alas, the weight.

I am not likely to switch to 100% rotary cleaning. Not even 30%. Yea, yea I know. However what really counts is what my clients are saying and they are quite happy as it is. You'd be surprised how well high flow wand cleaning works.
The two uses I foresee are:

1. Trashed traffic area and the rare trashed carpet (i get very few.)
2. The occasional large open space areas that I do every once in a while. Assuming that it will allow me to clean a little faster with less wear on my body.

I don't think a rotary will ever clean faster than a wand unless you try to get a nasty carpet as clean with a wand. You can spend all day on some nasty, worn out carpet with a wand and still not do the job of a rotary.

I agree, and the more repeats you have the less you'll need an RE.

Now that I think about it-- the carpet Was wetter with the HOSS vs the Zipper. Maybe the Zipper just applies the water in a better manner.? The HOSS took longer to clean then the Zipper-- BUT after the HOSS cleaning I wasn't fatigued-- AND The Zipper Kicked my ASS but took 2 hours less time. The Carpet was cleaner with the Zipper.

Rotaries will have a higher level of cleanness. Period.
I only have about 55000sqft cleaning with the Zipper.... But MY experience is that any of the rotaries I used, will clean better.

They are not comparable tools...

I may be a bit partial, but I had a Hoss. We used it against the Zipper on many occasions, back and forth on many types of carpet. It did not clean or dry better than the Zipper. I think you need to get back on the truck

Well to clarify-- we were doing dual wand with the HOSS and only single with the zipper.. this could have deminished the results of the Hoss.
