Well, what's the verdict??

After hundreds of residential customers served with my 360i, I had a weld break. It's on the "arm" that manages the tilting up and down of the handle.

I called RotoVac and they shipped a new one out right away...for free.

They also included the teflon glides for the 360i head...no charge.

AND Teflon for the XL head...also free of charge.

I really can't remember feeling more important to an equipment supplier.

That 360i has been the very best investment (tool wise) we've made for residential carpet. If anyone is on the fence, don't be. The tool is fantastic and support even years down the road, is proving that we made a great choice when we bought each of our rotary extractors from RotoVac.

So which one is it for everyone? Teflon or metal?

I haven't swapped them out yet. I've been very happy with the XL with the 3/4 hp motor driving the brush head with metal swoop heads. It's an absolute BEAST and has really sped me up on some of the larger residential homes we sometimes clean.

I love my BH360i Metal glides... I use it mostly with portable work, but TM sometimes...

I've had GreenGlide teflon on my OG360 and it was more forgiving but tackless strip ate it up... I won't give up my BH doe.... Just cleaning it is a pain....

Metal for the I
Teflon for the XL

I agree with Mikey on this....

I have a 360i coming too that I am going to experiment back and forth with too....

I like the Teflon in case I mess up next to a transition strip or ceramic tile.....

More forgiving when I am stupid!
