Great job Grant!

The 360i has transformed the level of cleaning we offer to our residential customers over the last couple years.

I had to jump on the XL in the auction. I CANNOT WAIT to try it!

Justin, I knew I wanted the XL last year in Clearwater. I was kinda hoping I'd kill the 360i in the process of looking for a good deal!

I LOVE the 360i. The XL is the logical next step for us.

Zipper will probably come next but will require a shift in my regimen.

Justin, are you going to any trade shows/Mikey'sFest this year?

I was able to justify very easily raising my prices with the Rotovac 360i and the Zipper.
They both up your game so much! Great job!

Sell the 360i and put the money towards a zipper. When it comes to commercial the zipper will double your production so you can make more money while charging less.
I'm definitly doing Vegas this year but I'd like to hit one of the others as well. I was thinking about riding to Atlanta but with the release of the MikeysFest dates for Nashville I'm considering that one instead. How about you and Mel?

I would suggest you keep the 3601 for a while. Make sure the weight of the XL is worth the increased production
Definitely the plan Mike. The RotoVac 360i is, pound for pound, the best cleaning tool I've ever used.

I'm hoping I can use the XL to clean even better even faster.

I might find the XL is just too cumbersome to justify the increased production.

I've found that I really need to put a machine or method through its paces before deciding if its for me.

I am a rookie . I just started a business. I have a prochem legend and a 2001 chevy. I want to be the best I can be . I have the funds to get a zipper and a roto vac to start with. Do you think that is a good idea to start with the best? Can i use the zipper on most res jobs ? thanks

i use the zipper or the hoss on almost all residential jobs. the wand only gets used in very rare cases. i don't think you can be without a wand because there are times you will need it. deep sculpted rugs for example. yes i definitely think buy the best you can afford but i don't believe in going into debt.

Mikey's Fest dates for Nashville, Mike can you tell me a little about your Nashville show.

Thanks Ivan

A day and a half of classes/seminars led by people who don't have anything to sell. A mini trade show of sorts at the host facility (Pro Care of Nashville) and a full day of cleaning at a commercial location (a children's autism center most likely) where we do machine and method comparisons while actually cleaning the whole place as a charitable donation to the community.

and lots of fun in Music City

I would start with the rotovac, as you can use it on everything.

I agree with the others.

Get a nice wand then later a 360i or hoss, whatever. Keep the cash.

you will get customers who are "WOW"ed just with the rotovac alone. Use it to impress clients and get them talking about your company. explain how it moves the fibers around cleaning better and deeper than your competition.

oh, and upsell carpet protectant, because even if you sell it just above cost, when you go back it will be that much easier to clean.

I've lost count how many people now have told me that they got the brush head when the first bought their 360i and used it once and put it on a shelf. All of them said it bopped around too much or wouldn't spin on a thick pile.

The brush needs to be broken in just like a shampoo brush on a 175 does. Get a chunk of stiff Olefin and give it a good 20 minutes of scrubbing, if not more. Nick at RV said you can soak it in real hot water but somehow I think actual use will lay the fibers over better..

DO NOT break the head in on concrete or asphalt like you do with a 175 brush, for obvious reasons

the most important thing about rotaries is what not to do. its easy to see what you can do, its the other stuff that gets people in trouble.
