That carpet brush head is amazing and has saved me big time! My restaurants have this horrible low olefin and the only way I can get them clean is with that head. I don't need to pre agitate with the red pad at all which is awesome!
I've never had to use it on anything else because the RV Quad head is great in the majority of situations when I'm not using my Zipper.
Hubby is starting to feel better so hopefully I will be able to get some good video of it in action pretty quick here. But I can't believe I ever had to live without it!

@Dr J all great advice has been given here and you and I have had a chance to chat.

I think the direction and advice given about purchasing the best cleaning machine you can afford, good cleaning wand and agitation capabilities such as the 360i is very sound advice.

Get these basic tools, make and save some money and then keep updating to the other specialty tools.

I am a big Zipper fan (and Rotovac, and Butler and ....well I really love so many cleaning tools) but you need the basic tools first....

and then.... I really look forward to hearing about your success and being able to buy even more to help you again some more :)

Thanks Mark and everyone. I will get a Roto Vac and a good wand with a glide. I plan on spending some money on marketing. I will be letting you guys know about my success. Any good marketing advice? I have been reading Howard Partridges books.

Definitely the plan Mike. The RotoVac 360i is, pound for pound, the best cleaning tool I've ever used.

I'm hoping I can use the XL to clean even better even faster.

I might find the XL is just too cumbersome to justify the increased production.

I've found that I really need to put a machine or method through its paces before deciding if its for me.

Your might try getting the Quad head for your 360i instead of the XL. Everything is the same except for the extra 30 pounds of weight and the 4 white nubs the XL ride on. And you can do stairs with the Quad nicely.

If your are doing residential and light commercial and could only afford 1 tool, would pick the rotovac or the zipper.

I am thankful for both...

Don't think I would want to have to decide.

We use our Zippers probably the most over any of our tools but that moment we need a Rotary, we are so thankful for our Rotovac 360 XL's!

So versatile and fits well in our vans

You'll want both. Each can clean residential and commercial but each shines at one a little more than the other.

Rotovac residential and Zipper commercial. If you're bothered by a power cord along with a vacuum and solution hose start with the Zipper. If power cords don't bother you but the Rotovac.

Light commercial can be handled with a wand IMO.

Bring a RE into your mostly residential carpet cleaning biz and watch Mrs. Jones start singing your praises!

You will command a higher price, at least we have.

Agitation on light commercial can be accomplished with the RE and a $100 pad driver.

This is all assuming only 1 tool can be purchased. I do think eventually you should have both. I don't have the Zipper but it's definitely next on my list.

Didn't he say "if you can't have both"?

Can't you color within the lines?

I cannot stress enough how utterly thankful I am that I didn't have to choose one over the other. They both absolutely have their place and are a necessity in my opinion!

I cleaned some really thick carpet today and didn't have the RV with me....I Zipped it out and it did fantastic! In fact Rich, the customer/my TM mechanic said that last time it was cleaned with a Hoss and it didn't look that good!

Gotta wonder if the zipper spinner will eliminate the need for both?

I would like to say that one maybe could be better than the other...

Or eliminate the need for the other....

But I just don't see it happening as each are different tools and there are just sometimes one tool is the magic over another tool.

Have said it before but there are days I am very happy I have all of them

Mark, have you tried the zipper on residential carpet yet? Any problem with (crop circles) as with the cx15 or others? I know no body wants me to ask this, any more videos?
