Rotovac Heads

How do you take the heads off the original rotovac for cleaning?

Unscrew each of them in the same direction they rotate during operation. The two heads screw off in opposite directions.(the left head is reverse threaded). I just lay the machine back and use the heel of my foot to give it a sharp hit downwards and it just spins right off.

Sharp blow w/ a rubber hammer on the vac slot opposite the way it normally spins or use a wood block and a hammer. If done frequently your heel will work. If it has been a long time trying getting some oil in there. Brian E

It came off fairly easy. Guess I was making it harder than it needed to be.

Dont forget to pull the 2 small vacuum hoses off and clean them out too. they can easily get plugged.
