Rotovac Ranger Vs. Mytee Escape

Hey guys, we're looking at these two machines for a few different purposes but wondering if anyone has tried, or has these units to offer advice - pros/cons etc.

We're leaning towards the Ranger because it can be broken down for simple spotting needs or used as a full portable machine.

The Ranger is a portable unit, and the Escape is a ETM, so what are you looking for, a portable or a ETM?

Charles knows all about the ETM, he has one and its has been nothing but a pain.

12volts doesnt do much for my nipples......I have to have 120 or better.....

They are quite different extractors.

We have several customers sucessfully using the Escape ETM's.

We also have customers using extractors with Dual 3-Stage vacs w/250 PSI pump systems, Auto-Fill & Pump-Out.

Mytee also makes the modular 7300-S AirHog with Pump-Out.

It has higher lift (225") and a large Filter to keep the Pump-Out operating.

You would have to hook up direct for the wand or Rotary Extractor,

or you could add the modular 30# Water Box:

Both machines are under $2K.

As an everyday extractor, I like the 1005DX with the new Cat Pump system (1.5 GPM).

I did a casino hotel demo yesterday and cleaned the kitchen grouted tile @ 500 PSI spraying,

as well as the dirty elevator carpets with lot of traffic.

Finished cleaning some upholstery with SS uph.tool.

They all looked great with high production.

It is also $1999 and weighs 115 lbs.

Ben, I've done many hundreds of jobs with the Air Hog/Water Box modular system Cobb and Olson sell. Lightweight reliable and super powerful especially when combined with a rotary extactor. Each part weighs less than 40# so easy to load.
The CFX/Ranger is not as reliable (according to board users, as the pumpout fails prematurely.)

Art would that Air Hog / Water Box combo work for sucking up slurry from stone work and picking up stripped wax sludge. I would like this to work with a pump out. Or would that just get all plugged up and make a mess of the waste tank??

Mardie get an old tank vacuum or old portable, you would want to mess up a good cleaning machine with that junk.

When I explained that the 500 PSI spraying pressure felt like a TM,

he started considering the Cat pump system more (2 GPM available)

The modular AirHog series unit with the WaterBox (edited) water system is modular,

but it lacks the ability to hi-flow flush a carpet,

and spin the Turbo Hybrid.

High AirWatt 3-stage vacs with electronic shut-off complete the package.

Yes. That is why they make the Water Hog, for those rare (in my case) times you want up to 1200 psi. Still a modular unit, still under 40#, for those of us who have to work in the real world.

You are correct on the Water Hog.

I was thinking of the Water Box, which delivers 220 PSI .

It only weighs 30 lbs.
