I guess I have been lucky with my 360i. I have had mine for 5 years this summer and the only issue I have had was the button on the threaded rod to adjust the handle.

Same here..

the new push button is very nice, the old pull pin would snap occasionally, especially on the heavier XL

Charlie, that is $750 worth of parts

Ive personally cleaned in the hundred$$ of thousand$$ in sales using the RotoVac 360i. The standard version with the 3 slots has changed the level of cleaning we offer our residential customers every day. It's the best tool I've owned for that type of work. Moving it around in an occupied home is a dream.

It's TERRRRRRIBLE for large commercial work. Even small commercial work is foreign land to the i.

I got a box from Rotovac last week too. Mine was $500 ish. 15" head, spacer for making a stair tool out of an old rotovac, and motor brushes. I used the new head yesterday on an olefin. It was sweet, no swirls. That's my hope is less swirls or easier to groom out. Haven't tried the stair tool yet.

A Sanitaire vacuum on/off switch is what I put on mine years ago when my momentary switch burned out... You do need to use common sense with it... It it easy to bump the trigger and you won't know if it's on or off... Lay it back or turn the speed control down and you won't have any problems... I have a pigtail outlet on mine with a extension cord with a light on the plug to make sure there's power on the cord... I just adjust the RV360i handle, lean it against my leg and plug it in... If it starts, click the trigger... Pretty simple...

My previous rotary was the twin head. I only had to replace the hose once, felts, motor brushes and one bearing. Incredibly durable machine. I should of kept it for those rugs that are to thin for the hoss. I didn't realize the hoss wouldn't do them.
