I've got a buddy's sick RX20 in my garage that he's been using as a buffer. It won't spin when there's a load on the pad driver. There's no grinding in the gearbox, no unusual sounds. I removed the three mounting bolts holding the motor to the gearbox assembly to remove the motor but that puppy won't budge. The motor housing spins freely but there doesn't seem to be any easy way to pull it off.

According to the assembly drawing it looks like it should lift up and off. Am I missing something? Any ideas?

My only guess is he snapped the drive shaft key and scored the shaft in the process.

Thanks...

Hey Mike, how've you been?

I'll give them a call. I started pulling it apart yesterday afternoon and was hoping someone may have run into this before.

I don't get onto the boards too much these days. Life gets busy. Still up to the same old stuff, mostly cleaning and some graphics and printing here and there. I got my home inspector's license a few years ago. Haven't done much with that lately, hoping to get back into it more soon.
