A few years ago i posted about a storage system i came up with for storing my rx20 in the van easily without removing the star. I took my proof of concept to a friend/ customer who's hobby is making furniture in his well equipped garage. And for 2 livingroom carpet cleanings this is what i got back . It sets in the back of my van, locks its self in but can be simply lifted out when necessary only changes since the pictures below is i used monel staples to install a piece of office no slip chair mat to the bottom so as th keep the vans carpet under it clean and dry. It even has a built in ramp to roll it up/in and out . On straps or bungees just roll it up drop the star in the hole and drive away. Been in use fot over a year now on mountain roads and occasional emergency braking for idiots and deer

I have a traditional wand on the truck but I only use it if the rotary breaks or areas too small for a rotary. My first new maxhine, a steamgeni 733 portable came with a drag wand . Loved the way it dried but wasn't satisfied with how it cleaned. So soon i added a traditional wand. Loved the its cleaning ability but hated how it dried. So i would clean with it first then clean and dry with the drag wand. This was a great system till i got employees. With them i started noticing that the larger the room the less it got scrubbed. So eventually I switched from wand to rotary. I tell my customers (this is my speech) that there isn't much difference between the nylon/polyester they wear and the nylon/ polyester they walk on, nor how it's cleaned. Your washing machine uses saturation, agitation to remove soil centrifical force to dry the fabric then it repeats the process to rinse Steam cleaning , or more correctly hot water extraction does the same .saturation, agitation to remove soil, positive displacement vacuum to dry fabric. Carpet cleaner's come in 2 flavors, you have cleaner's and you have rinsers. What they do in your home matters less than what goes on in the van. When you do laundry after sorting clothes, the first thing you do is pre spot. You use a product such as shout or sprayway. All Carpet cleaners do the same they prespray the carpet. Then you put the clothes in the washer. Next you add a detergent. A carpet cleaner's machine meters in a detergent. Then the machine fulls, agitates and spins to dry. A carpet cleaner will do the same. Now if a carpet rinsercame in they would quickly point out that what was left in your carpet is a little bit of the prespray and detergent now you have a residue that is unhealthy and will attract more dirt!!! So what the rinser will do is pre spray and instead of useing detergent they will just rinse the carpet with hot water or maybe a rinsing agent will be added. It like doing the laundry and forgetting to add the Tide. Then i ask do your clothes really get clean ?? And the washer even cycles twice! What i do is different, first i prespray, then my machine meters in a detergent and i clean and dry the carpet using a special $4500.00 attachment that cleans the carpet very well but im not satisfied with it's ability to dry so when im finished with that i switch to a rinsing agent and use special weighted attachment to rinse and dry your carpet. The only difference between what you do in your laundry room and what i do in you living room is you put the fabric in the machine and i put the machine on the fabric... ive found over the years that if im not quick enough to answer a call and my customer gets a competitor the next time they'll wait . To tell one of my customers that you're going to do less and its better is a really really a hard sell. Thank you for taking the time to read this its what i do ,how i do and why i do

Mytee has something similar. It works really nice and is easy to move around in the van. I wish my 360 XL had something similar.

No strapping needed. It almost locks on like a piece of Tupperware and come off very easy by just putting your toe on it and tilting it back.

No strapping needed. It almost locks on like a piece of Tupperware and come off very easy by just putting your toe on it and tilting it back.

But does the whole unit slide around? On the cover?

No, it does not, but usually my Promaster is packed pretty tight. I don't strap anything down. I just let it ride.
