Do you use the SDN?

Why/why not? experiences?

Personally, I've not had mine that long but use it on every repair job I do and LOVE the results. It flatens everything immediatelys and holds it that way!!

One thing I found when using the KoolGlide for repair work is giving the tape sufficient cool down time before overlaps like corners or tape running side by side.

If you hit it too soon, it'd actually burn the tape from over heating.

With the SDN, that is a thing of the past. 20-30 seconds and the tape is cool enough to move to the next section without fear of overheating and causing burning which on a light weight olefin carpet can cause burn damage... I know coz I've had to re do a repair larger than before

Also helps eliminate peaking of seams and repairs.

I like to use it on seams with patterns that run off. Instead of stay nailing it , I spot weld it with the kool glide. Than use the SDN for a quick dry time. With out the nails.
