I definitely see the benefit to this program, and send plenty of cards every month. However, it is hard to gauge the real return off these cards. Good return, yes. How many jobs do you think actually booked because you sent them a thank you card? Did they refer you because of this, I would think so but it cannot be tracked in that format.

When you have a 5 year client call you every year for a cleaning, why are they calling? Because you reminded them with a card or because they always do it between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Does that get tracked as a reminder job or just as a repeat client?

I have initiated your suggestion with the % discounts based on when they had clean an area prior - 6mths, 9mths, 12mths. This is easier to track because they have the card and are expecting the discount.
