You're all likely well into the planning stages for 2025. Anyone care to share what 2025 will look like in any or all of these categories?

Funny you should mention that. I have a local who has asked me on multiple occasions to open a product store locally.
Probably only because nobody else will tolerate him.
But we do need one

There you go!

Seriously, it is a good gig for someone who wants (or needs) to work past their wand pushing days.

If you ever decided to do it, I'd be happy to share my advice and experience.

Besides, I get so much joy from seeing Mike having to live my life now....I'd get even more of it to see you on the other side of the supply experience!

January is expected to be much colder over here in the south, so I'm predicting more water damage jobs from busted pipes

My big plan is to take the challenge of being down for 3 months after back surgery and work on some badly neglected marketing. My son will be getting his first big taste of running the business. He should be pretty proficient in all of our operations. I really feel like I can grow our current services if I take the time to work on it. I'm being forced to do this now, So I will make it work.

Not sure I am looking for growth potential. But, Hopefully my finacial potential for 2025 will come from increased prices for services rendered. Like many on this site, I know I charge far to little for the Knowledge, Quality and Professionalism I offer. Not to mention 36 years experience.

Area rug cleaning has great growth potential. More people are going with hard surface floors but then cover them with rugs for comfort. There are ways to clean some in home but if you have a shop, you can really make some good business. You don't have to have all the full immersion equipment, you can do good work with a floor scrubber, a portable or truck mount and the right chemistry. There are lots of courses available to give you some basic knowledge. I start at $3 per sqft with extra charges for pet urine and special situations. I have several drycleaners where people can drop off their rugs for me and charge $100 to pick up and deliver to their homes. I haven't really marketed this much as I also do residential and commercial cleaning but the rugs pay for my shop rent and more. At one time I used to have 25-30 drop off agents but haven't been replacing those who have dropped off as it interferes with my other work. If I wanted to hire someone to handle the extra work, it wouldn't take long to build that back up.
