sewer loss on luxury vinyl tile with concrete subfloor... Can it be cleaned or need to be removed??

rule of thumb is if it's absorbent, out it goes.
Sheet products may be ok if nothing leached in, tiled floors you can assume the doody got in through the seems.

I would attempt to save it unless as Mike said it has issues when moisture has gotten beneath.

I'd clean up the bulk and rinse with a Turbo tool. Then spray down a biocide and allow to sit for 10-15 minutes for full effectiveness. Rinse again with the turbo and dry. ATP luminometer can be used to prove some level of comfort in that you returned their home to a clean safe environment.

Swab the vinyl and insert in the tube. Compare counts with unaffected area. Any area that tests high, reclean and retest.
