Go, go go.
I've been through
SFS 5 times. I'm lucky enough to have a
Jon Don in driving distance so I take it each time it comes to town. We went for the first time 9 years ago and we had been in business since 1991. So, it's never too late to go.
This is not a hard sell class. It does teach you about marketing, but mostly it's about systems and procedures to help you become more efficient, provide better customer service, differentiate you from competition and create value added services. It transformed our business after being in business for 15+ years.
The opportunity to network with other cleaners and companies is priceless. I keep in contact with many people from
SFS. We share ideas, are accountability partners to each other, lift each other up and celebrate our successes.
The other thing is the support and help from instructors does't stop after the class. Chuck, Bill and Steve are just a phone call or email away. The flash drive and two huge binders you leave with have everything in them so you can refer back.
The drawback to this class is wanting to do so much of it when you get back and feeling overwhelmed as to what to do and wanting to do it all right away. This is why I continue to attend. What we needed to start with and spoke to me the first time, is so very different from where we are now. Even though I may have heard some of the info before, it wasn't the right time for us and we weren't "ripe" for it. Going back is a refresher on helping us figure out what to do next or reminds us of something we heard before, but forgot about and we are now ready to take on.
As far as the cost of the class, it is well worth the price of admission. What many don't know however, is depending on how much you have spent with
Jon Don in the past 12 months, you can get a 1/2 price or even FREE class. I don't remember the exact numbers ($3000 for 1/2 price and $5000 or $6000 for free). When registering if you call the 800 number, ask about this. You're not automatically "flagged" for that so if you don't ask, you won't get it.
I've shared updates with the
SFS team about things we've done since attending. I owe them an update, as it's been a while, but you can read our story here...

The only thing you will regret about this, is that you didn't do it sooner!
