Most of you are aware that our industry lost one of its great pioneers, Shawn Forsythe a few days ago. Among his accomplishments in our industry, Shawn was the designer of the Steam Genie Truckmount; a manager and technical expert for California Cleaning Supplies, and helped develop the IICRC S100 Standard for Carpet Cleaning.
Shawn was know for helping many cleaners while maintaining a quite and humble demeanor. He will be greatly missed.
Shawn left behind his wife and young twin son and daughter.
Some have asked about making donations for his children. Here is what his family has posted on Shawn's Facebook page:
Donations can be made by check to Reagan and Cameron Forsythe and send directly to Kristi Forsythe c/o NIta Cauthen, 14305 Meadowlands Dr. Riverside, CA 92503. Checks would then be deposited in each account.
I have donated a seat in any of the Restoration Strategies - Turbocharged classes that will be auctioned off with proceeds going to his family.
The class is taught by Peter Crosa and Jeff Cross. This an excellent way for any restoration company to grow their business. Worth traveling to get this information.
