I went out this am to clean a small residential carpet job. Easy two bedrooms and living room.
We introduce ourselves and saw us walk in with the vacuum. She says "you're going to need to vacuum really well. My belt broke and I don't know how to install it"
Steve my supervisor said he would replace it for her once he finished vacuuming. I'm cleaning and he comes over laughing. i asked him whats up and he hands me a yellow foam block. A little chewed up but still pretty much in tact.
He said it didn't need a belt. She must have vacuum after we cleaned last time and sucked up the block then hair and other debris accumulated until it just locked up the roller. He put the new belt on anyway since she had already purchased it. Carpet looked like new using an RE and now she can maintain it with a working vacuum.
