shipping question

Want to sell my op machine and have a few peope interested but shipping is a small fortune. UPS wanted $300 to ship it from west coast to east coast.

Greyhound quoted me $90 till they seen it was odd shaped and wouldn't fit.

anyone with any ideas

Disassemble and ship the handle assembly separately from the motor/head.

That is how I received mine. It was a few years back. I do not remember exactly what is cost me in shipping, but I do know it was nothing outrageous like 300.

Check U Ship. It's an auction type site. I had a motorcycle shipped from Montana to Iowa for like $300.

The height will cause UPS to charge an additional handling charge. Like already said, take the handle off. If it is over 70 lbs they will charge you for that too. If it is, then see if you can take something else off and ship it separately with the handle.

I started to take it apart but it looked like the screws that hold the handle to the head where pressed in there so didn't want to mess the machine up

it weighs 78 pounds in one piece
