Should we advertise these jobs or just brag about them to our geeky forum buddies?

Cobb's Powermax on this one. But not by itself. Around 8oz of Citrus Zov added to it after I rinsed out the piss on the carpet.

To answer the original question:

I would think that unless you are trying to attract these kind of clients (picture below) you should not advertise it. No matter how good it looks afterwards. If they specifically mention that their carpet is trashed and want to know that you can handle it. You can send them pictures via email to demonstrate what you can accomplish.

Otherwise, I do not think it will appeal to clients that keep their home in anything resembling a reasonable condition.
And once they've seen that picture, best case scenario, they are likely to demand that you disinfect your equipment and dip yourself in peroxide (legalese- not recommended. Don't do it!), before you touch anything in their home. :winky:

Or if you really want to have it on your web site. Put first a few "normal" cleaning before pictures with some stellar afters. And towards the end use the ones you provided with a qualifier like: Every once in a while we come across a situation that requires extra TLC.

oh and no you should never ever advertise these kind of pictures... high paying customers with nice clean homes will be frightened at the sight of this and never call.

They will assume your equipment is disgusting and sucks this kind of mess all the time. Nobody cares about amazing before and after pics except other carpet cleaners or filthy dirty customers who might call with a $150-200 job.

I prefer the opposite, advertise super nice pics of really high end multi million dollar homes to scare away the customers in dirty apartments on a budget
