I though sure we'd hit pay dirt today with one res and three sec 8's
I knew the res wouldn't be dirty, but thought sure at least one of the sec 8's would be..but not so.

this is dirtiest carpet we saw all day

007-21.jpg

Typical builder grade Nylon
quick vac and split the dirtiest part down the middle
Mixed one scoop of S&G
2.6 scoops Powermax .
Scoop used was the typical scoop in most jugs of powder (2oz I think)
Mixed in separate, clean jugs using hot tap water from the kitchen faucet .
I'd estimate 100-110 degrees
Application RTU @ 250 sf pr gal

I'll let ya'll judge the results

004-9.jpg

015-12.jpg

BTW, i have no idea why the red areas ..there was no visible red to the eye
If you look at in the right corner above the register, there's red on the wall too....
Unless it's one Duane's ghost oRbs  I haven't a clue where or how it showed up

011-16.jpg

We're working on a rehab right now,
Should be finished next week .
We're going to attempt to salvage the bed rooms .
Trashed oly loop pile ..it will make for a much better proving ground

stay tOOned

pee ess..Sunday's trashed rag didn't prove much and was inconclusive..it was so trashed/stained up, nothing made it look good .
if someone can tell me how to download pics from my Android , I'll post 'em on this thread

So you set up some cue cards and red tape on a lightly soiled carpet that virtually ANY carpet prespray would clean with little to no dilution

JHC did Mikey ever send a painter to do a carpet cleaners job

I hope you used the same PSI

Go sit in the corner with Waldo

You don't need some passed his prime section 8 cleaner to do the test. I can tell you because I use both products regularly. Slop and gobble mixes better cleans awesome. Powermax mixes shitty and cleans awesome. you have 2 high Ph cleaners that clean. Besides that Larry that carpet isn't clean because you glided it, if you want it truly clean you have to wand it again with the face open/////HACK

If you want to pimp a nasty section 8 get slop and gobble or powermax(you are going to need hotter water to mix powermax) boost with some magic wand oxyblaster and cruise. Make sure you prespray, prescrub, glided wand then open faced wand. That is what we do everyday

What this tells me is to buy any high PH powdered prespray local and forget all the internet hype to push product.

I don't know what's the percentage of cleaners here that do mostly grease spoon restaurant and totally trashed residences. These places justify the "knock your socks off" pre-sprays."

However, I'd actually be interested to see a comparison of 5th generation approved pre-sprays, in a "normal" (as in not completely trashed) places. My non-scientific trials, showed no discernible difference whatsoever.

And Jimmy may be absolutely right, it seems like a 14 ph prespray may do an even better job than the 13 ph one.
Imagine: If only we could get nature to produce a 15 ph one :p

I just cleaned a dirty carpet (my carpet  )

4 oz powerstrike 1 oz conquest in my 5 quart jug filled to the brim with a freshwater rinse.

Looks brand new.

Beat that!

Excuse me, Greg...but Mr Meatus cannot be 'passed his prime' as you put it...and I take offense at your perverted and somewhat obvious age discrimination...the more 'mature' of our group have an innate talent at cleaning stuff that would baffle most of the less experienced of our community.

I can't pick a "clear" a winner guys
we haven't seen any seriously trashed carpets

S&G mixes better (cause you don't have to mix so much)
PM smells great

the thimble full pr gal RTU of S&G in unrealistic imHo
The mega dose larry suggests is more than is needed

so I've been mixing S&G at 2oz pr gal and Cobby's at 4.5 oz pr gal
that makes them "dollar for dollar" RTU mix

it's a draw .
neither out preformed the other at those rates on moderate soil conditions .
They were both very good

It's been 7 weeks and you don't have a good test site?

If Cobb and Les both develop a new Primer paint for ghetto rehab doofuses we'll give you a call

I've spent the last two weeks cleaning schools and rentals and I have to agree with Larry. The one scoop per gallon suggested dilution rate for Slop and Gobble is unrealistic. It might work for a slightly soiled situation, but who uses a nuclear pH prespray on a lightly soiled carpet? At 2 oz's (or scoops) per gallon, it is a fine prespray. I have not, however, had an opportunity to test it on a greasy restaurant yet, and hope I don't for quite some time.

Send me some to sample.

I can do this.

I have tons of real nasty places to clean.

I'll do several tests and comparisons and post results.

Whatever the cost is for these products just charge it to my credit card.
