Aero Tech has the best idea with the domed site glass. I want to change out the site window on the pump. It's pretty much useless. The exploded view doesn't give an indication of its size. Anybody know what size it is ❓ while I'm at it I might as well change out the blower. I'll need that size also. Head size can vary so I don't know if measuring the head size will work. Do they use npt. ❓

I want to replace the flat sight window on the general pump. It's impossible to see without removing the front panel. While I'm at it I also would order two for the blower.

Thanks for the idea. My gen pump site glass is pretty big and visable, but i will do this on my sutorbilt, if possible.

Every morning my habit is to check all the levels. You can take out the little dipstick on the pump but it's hard for me to see without glasses. The bullseye makes it simple. You can also see the color of the oil which helps you know ahead of time if there has been an overheating problem.

It's not a Gardner Denver blower is a euro blower
I had found a couple references to the TriFlow 410 - did they switch to Eurus blowers? Eurus requires an approved account to access their literature - so I have no info. Which one does your 870 use?

Gene I was reading up on the Eurus blowers (I know nothing about them) and came across this - it looks like the sight glass port may be set up like a hydraulic connection with an O-ring:

Gene your water pump didn't come with this large sight glass?

Yes it's there, but because of the box truck its to high to bend in and see. I'm getting to old to have to bend and twist to see sight glasses. I could try a piece of polished stainless on the belt wall. I might be able to see the reflection. I have a piece I'll try. The other one with the 3d installed I could see from the from ground on the front of the machine. I'll have to make a hole in the front panel but I'm ok with that. It's all about ease for me.
Also, I want a tech to be able to easily check everything, otherwise they just won't do it.

Would a self stick blind spot mirror work?

I'm not sure an ordinary mirror would take the heat cycling. I have a piece of polished stainless that's almost as good. If it doesn't work I'll try the mirror. Worst that will happen is I have to clean up a little broken glass

My account over at Eurus was approved. I grabbed the ZG operation manual and repair manual, I stuck 'em in the library here under Truckmount Manuals.

Gene, it looks like the sight glasses are indeed metric like you thought, and Esco has them in that thread, the only question is how best to seal them.
