I think most will be understanding Tom, but you might advise them to an extended time frame when this sort of thing happens.

Just ordered a rifle and they were upfront and told us it would be at least six weeks for all of the custom work to be done and shipped to me.

This way No one is confused waiting for something that is not coming soon.
This is SO true, when we were dealing with Tony, Melissa did a VERY good job at making sure to post on our web site any delays as we waited for parts. Melissa WAS NOT aware OF HOW LONG this process was going to take.... and if she would have know it would have been up.
She was the one that went up to Tims shop today....and filters were not ready to pick up.....she said " I AM NOT LEAVING HERE WITHOUT THEM! I told these guys there filters were going out today and that has to happen"
She waited for two hours till they were able to finish setting up the machine to do the final trueing so the lids will fit properly and brought them back to box them and get them out this afternoon.
I think she is going to put up notice tonight to just let people know there will be delay. ( She is correcting my sons homework right now)

It is true Zee.
But we tend to be a little more forgiving with smaller businesses and ones we think of as good guys. Karma has its benefits.

For example: We have been waiting for ages for Thomas to discover the enter button to create space between his paragraphs.
There's hope yet.
Hey Conway: Paragraph. Enter. Enter. Next paragraph.
Repeat. :winky:

Doug,
I have to say this is not completely our fault,
We thought that we had enough filters pre-made for this move...well we were wrong.

Tom - a suggestion:

"Doug, I have to say this is our fault. I thought I had enough filters premade but I was way wrong. It was my responsibility to have enough on hand and I screwed up. As soon as I realized your order would be delayed I should have contacted you and offered the option to wait or refund your money - again my bad for lack of communication."

An improvement the devastator needs is to put those clamps that open the lid east and west vs. north and south...I clean mine out while its still connected to the hose...

I did try that but it leaked when shut down so I went back to N n S.

I talked to Tim about this, as the other night when we were practicing for the last webinar a person brought to my attention something about the clips, and in real world cleaning it could use a little improvement.

So I approached Tim about this...We are thinking of adding one more clip to the housing, 12, 4, and 7 o clock. I use mine every day also and I have felt that the bottom clip is a pain as you have to lift to remove the lid, this would eliminate that issue and also give more holding/seal power, and give a bit more strength to to the clips.

The down fall is it is another latch to deal with.

The reason for the bottom clip is to keep the pressure on the gasket when in transit to keep it from leaking as the water starts to seep out of all the crap, and when tm shuts off.

Ok I got ya...Also how about a " rubber band like" around the white net to make it easier to reinsert in the container...Just an idea...

Good.
Now Richard and Mark can send Doug their list of "absolutely must have" tools.

Caution- the list is long and ever expanding. Hopefully Doug has a large garage, storage room for fine dust collecting, or at the very least, a nonconformist personality :winky:
