I started out with a portable like that.
2 two stage vacs and a 100 psi pump
10 gallon

Some of them old Steamex machines were only 2 stage vac. and 30 psi pumps and running 6 jet aluminum head wands.
Typical carpet cleaner running around here in the 70's had one in their trunk.

I made a lot of money with one just like that in early 80's. Don't miss it tho. Took a 175 to make it work well if the carpet was very dirty.
