Does it direct the spray closer or farther from the glide?

I was messing with my aw29 yesterday, and I noticed how close the spray already was to the glide. If it's angling it closer to it...it seems that it would hit my glide and not even touch the carpet. Am I looking at this wrong?

Spin it 180 degrees and it will angle away from the glide
