Doug I love my Chevy 2500 short after owning a Dodge extended. More room would be nice thought if Chevy was extended. If you are considering a box, don't worry about heating it. Tom Cermak put me on to the foil covered foam at Lowe's. Put it in the ceiling and used some small screws and wood shims on the roof ribs to hold it up. Air Duct sealing tape for the seams. Most the winter's here it only took 1 ceramic heater to keep above freezing. Your prob much more colder there though. With no pto like my V had it would be even more sealed up. I plan to go Chevy with 10 ft box win I find a good one.
