Vinyl tiles have been been laid with a silicone grout. ????

I've never heard of this before.

Someone has walked across the fresh floor and spread the grout onto the top of the vinyl.

Owners want to know how to remove it.

I suggested a scraper.

They have already tried using a black stripping pad and worn the silicone down level with the floor but can still see the grout on the tile.

Any ideas. ??

i was with u originally thinking a scraper, will do some research.

Remove and replace tiles that got nasty. Further work on it might damage more than replacing the bad ones now.

I have a silicone remover but it contains tolulene and might damage the tiles.
