That sucks man.. I had someone try to do that to me last year on the classifieds here.. The dude took forever to ship it out and he wrote the wrong address on it, even though he was given the right address. So he gets it returned back and it says its the wrong address, so I give him my address again.. he ships it out again and gets sent back.. wrong address. He sends it through UPS i think this time around and UPS takes extra time getting to because he wrote the wrong address on it AGAIN, but UPS figured it out (kudos to them). He just switch two number on my street address. Had to pay for shipping on that not knowing it was his mistake, I just wanted the tool..
So I finally get it and its not even the product he was advertising.. So I ask him whats up and that he had originally wrote the wrong address on there.. sent him pics and everything.. even sent him screen shots of the text conversation we were having about me specifically making sure it was a certain model. He starts getting defensive, calling me all different types of names.. said I didn't know anything about the industry or the tools that are used and that I am stuck with it and not to bother him about it anymore.. then that was it from him.
I was talking to a member about this on another BB because they serviced the same city and found out it was some dumbass kid working for his dads carpet cleaning business.. who just happen to be a member here too. Thanks to some help.. and you know who you are
helped me resolve this issue. I got my money back, plus what it cost to ship it back to him.. I never got the apology that I asked for.. but you know kids nowadays.
For me now.. no money gets sent unless I have an active tracking number.
