Are you still sealing grout with a bottle, brush or wand?
In today's highly competitive hard surface market, the cost of labor to apply the " old fashion way " will lose you jobs if you price accordingly.
Mikey's Fest St Pete attendees are going to be taught the art of Speed Sealing. Unlike any other educational cleaning event, we have many thousands of square feet of real tile and grout to clean and "Speed Seal".
Come get your Hands On this February and learn, and save big time.

Ahem: Sure would be nice if there was a MB Special on the IPS, also.

Any time would be fine...
You just missed a heck of a deal on the Auction.

Mike what size jet are you thinking to seal with Cobbs?

I put 3 coats of cobbs ultraseal on my new shower grout. It doesn't bead up on the grout after a few days of use. Should I expect it to? Is a shower environment too harsh for sealers?

Roh ro..:eekk:

Flourochems don't really cause beading much with stone. Water appears to move in and out.

Go testb with some wine and coffee and report back your findings

White wine did not bead up, but it's been 7 months since I put it down.
Does that mean water based sealers are better for showers?

Daily use showers need to be resealed every quarter imo

go see if red wine or coffee stains the grout, tonight.. you can remove with peroxide if so

Coffee rinsed off after sitting for 2 hours with just water. It must be working.

How do you determine or show the customer it is time to seal if it doesn't bead water? I'm not sure they would be cool with me pouring coffee or red wine on their grout or stone.

Sounds like I need to reseal mine. It's not a year old yet but want it to last as long as possible.

You're the only shower preservation specialist they know, they will follow your instructions.

Have them clean and dry it before you come to clean the carpet. Sealing showers takes a minute Cobbstyle. Go easy on them.

The Ultraseal would still bead up . . .

except for the daily dose of detergent splashed all over the walls.

The fluorochemical is still there for protection,

but the repellency is counteracted by the wetting agents in the detergents.
