They said the functions that are controlled by those areas can be partially recovered in other areas of the brain, how much and to what extent nobody knows, a lot of it depends on his willingness to work on it during PT but it'll never be 100%

No family? Brother, sister?
He is going to need serious care, even beyond rehab. My wife spent every day with father until her mother came home from work.

That PT was so difficult to watch. He had to relearn to swallow to be able to eat. They worked with his hands so he could regain some use of them. Learning to walk looked so painful, he could move about his home but out in the open needed assistance. He refused a cane or walker, too proud.
He was a boxer and weightlifter with big guns that were never able to use much after the stroke. It was hard for me to understand, he had the strength in his body but his brain couldn't connect to it.

I've had the sliding doors on a couple of tubs through the years. First thing I do is remove them. Hard to clean, always hitting my head either on the way in or on the way out of the tub. I hate getting hit in the head and when I am naked getting in or out of the tub it makes me angry.

If you yell they are pretty good. I got one in my bedroom I am sure if I yelled it would pick me up. I got 3 of them in my house and as I walk talk to one allot of time the other ones chime in, sometime all 3. Only the closest one answers. They are getting cheep too if you let the older model that work just like the new ones but are older.

Get him an Alexa or google, it can call for help if you need. not to mention everything else.
We have 5 in our home. I'm sure big brother knows everything about me. God, the guys in that white unmarked van sitting out front of my house must be bored to tears.
