SS870 Just turned 3500 hours

It's really been a great machine. Stuffed her in my little Chevy express then put her in my Promaster. She’s worked on 118 degree days and in the freezing rain. She just keeps going without a complaint. I would buy the Sapphire 870 again in a hot second. Thankful to have this machine and the years of trouble free use it has provided.

How's the van holding up? I would think that TM was too heavy for anything but a 3500 van.
I guess it helps you don't have a freshwater tank.

My van just turned 40k miles. Doing great. Both vans are 3500. Also, sometimes I carry 75 gallons of fresh water with a removable tank I have installed. I very rarely need it. Promaster payload is 4,400lbs

Not sure. I don't remember the year I got it. I think it was November of 2015..... not sure.

Promasters from when i inquired are very hard to find, and could take 3 months or longer to get a new one

Damon, so like 10 hours a week. my guess SS put like twice that on a wek. just comparing, as with stone work, sometimes it along for the ride

You gotta love that poop water hose reel mounted on top of that tm. It looks like it wants to be a mini fire truck spraying poop water on the fire

I just hit 2k hours on my legend. Bought it in late 2016. I want to upgrade it to a larger unit. Too many out there to choose from that cover their warranty or outperform the competition.

Same experience with my 870. Uses lots of water. But very reliable. Doesn’t have a sight tube on the blower oil though.

Mine has a site window on the blower. Guess i got lucky.

Mine had one also. That was just a subtle dig at an old guy I know that was determined to put a sight tube on his blower oil. It was important to him to monitor the blower oil level, to prevent blower failure. Guess what leaked and made his blower lock up?

Eurus sight glass broke. took out top bearing on drive side. $200 fix.

note: drive end only about 4 oz of oil, so I added florescent to make leaks more noticable.
