I rarely use mine, slows me down and kills my back. Handy on narrow small staircases though.

It takes time to get used to using one. I have a 2" prochem. It looked to be the best quality. I like it, but wish I had gone with a 1.5 inch. Much quicker than using an upholstery tool. Get a glide for it.

How short? They start at 36" and go down to about 9." I bought a PMF 30" twenty years ago and still have it so that says something.

PMF 30", swivel head ergonomic stair tool (closed spray). It is a single jet and the head flips around to easily clean the risers. Part number S1540SVC - 500psi brass valve.

Been using one for more than a decade and wouldn't consider anything else.
