State and Federal invitations to bid?

Hey all,

Is there one site where I can find county or state jobs to bid on. I am interested in Carpet cleaning and Duct cleaning. I have googled and found some all over the states but there has got to be a better way to find this info. Does anyone know of a site where all these bids are on or do I need to keep checking county by county and city by city?

fbo.gov for federal. Your city, county and state goverment should have links on their websites.

Bidding on cleaning for the government is generally a horrible idea. It is usually absolutely cut throat and a waste of time.


A better idea would be to track down the purchasing agents for local government and offer to take them to lunch. There is often a way to get government work without bidding. A competitive bid may not be required if the purchase is under a certain dollar amount and each agency may have a discretionary budget.
