Ive got a Steamaction Stealth that ive had for 4 years now and the unloader valve has finally went out on it. Its a used unit with the Nissan A15 in it. Ive never had to change an unloader valve as my previous machine was a bane clene and cant seem to find the exact one i need. The guy at steamaction wont tell me anything other than its made by general but claims he has to customize them and wants to charge $150 bucks. I dont want to bash anyone here lets just say Ive had a lot of trouble trying to buy parts from this guy so I would like to avoid it if possible. Only thing I can tell he's done to the valve on it is remove the spring on the pressure adjusting knob and load it with about 15 washers so it can mount on the side of the machine more solidly. (I guess). Anyway if anyone has replaced these and could help me out with some info I would very much appreciate it. All the manual says is 2000 psi brass unloader valve, 2000 psi, temp 180, 3/8 npt ports. I should prob be able to find it with this info but just not seeing it. Thanks for any help...

I just replaced the unloader valve on my vortex 777 last week.

The one I installed had a white spring. It looked like a universal fit because of the multiple in/out ports so it could be mounted any way you need it to.

When I spoke with the folks at Aerotech they said for me to remove the check valve from the 1 inch hex nut before installing. I checked but there was not check valve for me to remove.

Mounted the new unloader and plumbed it exacly the same way the old one came off. After firing the unit I had very low water volume. Wasted half a day troubleshooting the pump before I figured out the unloaded was plumbed wrong.

Turns out my new unloader is slightly different than the old one and the two output orafices are different sizes. One was small 1/4 and the other was large 1/2 appx.

Anyhow, if you post a pic of your current unloader I'm certain we can match it up for you.

I replaced the un-loader on the Vortex...called windtrax and told them what I had and the color of the spring...they removed the check valve for me...cost me around $45 bucks...they shipped it out...took me no time to replace it and was back in service...at that price I bough a spare one for a back up and then sold the vortex...should be laying around here some where if some one needs one...
